According to some experts, the world’s weather is about to get even more chaotic as a result of natural climate change that we can do absolutely nothing to prevent — and even though global warming alarmists may exploit the consequences to advance their own political agenda, paying a carbon tax to Al Gore will not lessen the impact of a potentially catastrophic magnetic polar shift.

In layman’s terms, the most apocalyptic outcome of a polar shift would come as a result of the the poles flipping, with the south pole becoming the north pole and vice versa. The good news is that on average this only happens every half a million years, but the bad news is that it hasn’t happened in roughly 780,000 years, with some experts warning that the planet is overdue. Pole flips have been known to happen only 50,00 years apart.

If it happened, a complete pole shift would cause “superstorms in the future with winds as high as 300 to 400mph…which “would totally destroy anything they came into contact with on land,” writes Terrence Aym for Salem-News.com.

“In between these flips, the magnetic field can become quite weak and chaotic, causing “turbulence” in the field, which can effectively cause weaker gaps in the magnetosphere,” writes Mike Adams.

“These magnetic gaps or weaknesses can allow outside influences that normally would not penetrate the magnetosphere to reach deep into that magnetosphere, theoretically all the way down to where birds fly at very low altitude,” adds Adams, making a case that pole shifts are to blame for recent mass bird die-offs.

However, it’s important to note that the process of reversal in the earth’s magnetic field can take around 5,000 years to be completed. This isn’t going to happen overnight, which is why frenetic claims that it is part of some pre-ordained 2012 Mayan apocalypse are in the same league as hysteria about Planet X.

The more likely scenario is that the ever-changing tug of war between the sun and the earth’s electromagnetic fields will continue to cause significant, but not apocalyptic storms like those recently witnessed in Australia and the United States, and that alarmists will continue to exploit such events to push their completely discredited global warming dogma.

The fact that the planet’s northern magnetic pole is drifting slowly but steadily towards Russia is causing airports to adjust the coordinates of their runways so they match up with sensitive airplane instruments.

The consequences of geomagnetic movement in the poles is undoubtedly an important issue and will have a direct impact on our lives. However, given the level of coverage, and in some quarters outright hysteria, being afforded to a complete pole reversal event that is less probable than a cataclysmic asteroid strike, we’re more worried about the threats to the environment that are already unfolding on the planet, and not by some unknown outside threat that we cannot even do anything to prevent anyway.

The impact of chemtrails, the poisoning of our water supply with sodium fluoride, heavy metals, drugs and other harmful chemicals, along with the threat posed by the industrial rollout of genetically modified crops should be of far greater and more immediate concern.

However, since the planet is so sensitive to the behavior of the sun and how it affects the poles, don’t be surprised when global warming alarmists hastily exploit extreme weather events that are attributable to natural causes and blame them on human CO2 emissions while assuring that the only solution is to pay Al Gore and his globalist cronies billions of dollars in carbon taxes.

(NewsCore) – California’s most destructive natural disaster may not be an earthquake but a massive storm that could result in one-and-a-half million people being evacuated and more than $300 billion in damage, the Los Angeles Times reported Sunday, citing a new study.

The “big one” could trigger 10 feet (3050mm) of rain, widespread landslides and hurricane force winds lasting weeks, according to more than 100 scientists, engineers and emergency planners who worked on the study.

“We need to recognize that flooding here in California is as much of a risk as an earthquake,” said Lucy Jones, chief scientist for the Geological Survey’s Multi-Hazards Project.

The study — which took two years to complete — noted that while quakes radiate from a single location, a huge storm could affect the entire state, destroy one in four homes and result in an economic loss four times that of a huge earthquake. Such a storm would take place once every 100 to 200 years.

The authors of the study said they were not suggesting that a storm of that magnitude was imminent. However, they wanted Californians to be aware that the risk existed.

(STARpod.org) — It’s called the Fermi Paradox, and it remains a mystery: If life is common throughout the universe, it should have spread throughout our galaxy, and the aliens should already be here.

Or are we oblivious to a covert extraterrestrial presence?

Is there any evidence to support the idea that we are not alone?

A few well-connected individuals have claimed indirect evidence for a “phenomenology problem”  — their belief in an extraterrestrial “Core Story” — reinforced by rumors, allegedly sourced from top level government leaders.

Perhaps the most bizarre government-related tale of extraterrestrial encounters originates with Ingo Swann, a man who was made famous by the CIA’s interest in his alleged “psychic powers,” which included “remote viewed” perceptions and the ability to mentally influence delicate scientific instruments.

In the late 1990s, Swann revealed his mid-1970s participation with an unknown “black-ops” investigation into an extraterrestrial presence.

Following this alleged ultra-secret excursion to mentally travel to the moon, and back, Swann experienced a close-encounter with what could only be described as an “alien avatar” shopping for groceries in a Los Angeles supermarket.

His personal mental impression of a super-sexy female alien in human form was reinforced by the unexpected presence of black-ops operatives, apparently sent to keep the mysterious female avatar under observation.

Of course, it is possible it was Swann who was seen as “the alien avatar,” a human extraterrestrial with super powers.

Perhaps the alleged black-ops presence, having blown their cover when Swann recognized them, took advantage of the mysterious woman to explain why they “coincidentally” showed up at the local grocery stop.

What keeps Swann’s crazy ET tale from being tossed, without a second thought, into the dust bin of the insane, is the on-the-record fact that Swann was the official trainer to America’s operational psychic spy programs.

Among those involved with Ingo Swann and the effort to develop covert psychic “spooks” were the CIA, the Navy, the Army, Missile Command, the Air Force, the National Security Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and numerous government clients, including the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Real or imagined, the declassified record is solid evidence that the project was taken seriously.

We cannot discount the possibility that someone decided to test Swann against an “extraterrestrial presence” on the moon.

The final act of this alleged black-ops group involved flying Swann to the far-northern reaches of the Alaskan wilderness to eye-witness the “phenomenology problem” — an uncomfortably close encounter with a black diamond-shaped floating object — including brilliant color-changing lights, swirling fog, and ruby-red laser beams blasting the limbs off pine trees.

Was this a spectacular light show staged to psychologically test Swann’s ability to distinguish between fantasy and reality?

Did someone in Washington, concerned by reports of Swann’s alleged ability, task a beyond top secret black-ops group to explore countermeasures against remote viewing?

In the mid-1970s it was widely assumed that paranormal powers were actively used against American interests by the Soviets.

Is there anything behind Swann’s alleged mind’s eye observations of weirdness lurking in the darkened lunar landscape? Or was this tale entirely a product of Swann’s fertile imagination?

In early August of 2006, an informal private experiment was conducted against the alleged extraterrestrial presence on the moon, involving persons familiar with Swann’s tale. The names of those involved have been withheld, due to an agreement to maintain confidentiality.

An experienced “phenomenologist” familiar with a variety of paranormal activity, initiated an attempt to recreate Swann’s psychic perception, from somewhere in Europe.

The European psychic observer focused on “the dark side of the moon,” an allusion to the far lunar surface and regions hidden by lunar shadows.

This person reported achieving “an out of body” experience of being surrounded by grayish shapes — shadow beings — among other unrelated images, which then invoked intense feelings of anger.

Another party, acting as an “outside objective observer,” was located somewhere on the North American continent.

The American “control subject” was initially unaware that the above experiment, which had been informally proposed, was actually taking place.

Within a few hours of the European attempt to recreate Ingo Swann’s remote viewing of the moon, the America “control subject” reported an odd experience.

Recalling a feeling of an unexplained “intense anger” at the periphery of an ordinary dream, the American reported a transition to an unusually lucid dream-like state:

“Last night, in the midst of an ordinary but vivid dream, I was ‘awakened’ to find myself in the midst of a ‘visitor-like’ experience … There was a ball of twisting three-dimensional images, shifting and changing, of ordinary human scenes. Think of a snake-ball, or something like tentacles of light wrapped around each other. Each tentacle was a three-dimensional image or recording of a scene of human activity. One scene appeared to be viewing an operating room from overhead.

This was nothing like an ordinary dream … notable was the twisting of the images around each other, and the shadow beings surrounding the image. I sensed … they were empty or void of emotion and intellectual response. I do not believe they were ‘real’ but were a different layer of image. My impression … something quite different from the human mind was attempting to find a ‘translation’ into human language, and had resorted to the imagery. Unfortunately, the rate of processing of images and meaning was not compatible with my perception / mental process.”

As intriguing as subjective reports may be, and this includes those from Swann and other government-funded experts in the field, there remains little on-the-record evidence to support the idea of an external intelligence behind the phenomena.

One expert described this odd dream-like visual information as originating with limbic circuit stimulation, involving hypnogogic imagery, which is sometimes reported at the onset of sleep.

The source explained that “the information is real, not imagination … the circuits involve prefrontal cortex, and thus are not traditional memory traces from the hippocampus …”

Apparently the source of these “real signals” remains something of a mystery.

Is this evidence of an extraterrestrial agent in human form?

In other words, at the end of the day, is the extraterrestrial source already encoded inside of the human species?

Are some of us, at least some of the time, literally “alien avatars,” walking amongst the human species, unnoticed?

Is it possible, as was suggested by Paul Davies at the Royal Society, that once upon a time, alien nano-probes “inserted messages” into the genomes of Earth’s biological entities?

Are these ghostly nocturnal encounters, along with their cousins, “anomalous mental phenomena,” which have been extensively studied the government, an ancient message to the human race, encoded directly into our subjective experience of the world?

OK, first of all I had no idea this video was going to be this popular.

Pretty exciting stuff. Anyways, there’s alot of arguing on here about sound in space. Obviously sound needs a medium to pass through, to vibrate through so that it can carry the sound waves.

Space has no air, and therefore cannot project sound in audible wave form. As it says in the description, these sounds are not from satellites zooming around the earth with a normal microphone. Sohpisticated instruments can detect the different sonic vibrations going on in the planet GENERALLY.

So what you are hearing is not what it would be like if you just stuck an ear out the window of a space ship. First of all you would probably either die or go deaf in that ear for the rest of your life because of the pressure of the vaccum.

What the remote sensors on the sattellite are doing is analyzing different radio frequencies coming off the surface of the earth and converting it into audible soundwaves for you and I to hear. So you’re not hearing whales, you’re not hearing cars or even wind. You’re merely hearing the general frequencies of the Earth in an audible format.

Damage to critical infrastructure (essential facilities, transportation and utility lifelines) is substantial in the 140 impacted counties near the rupture zone, including 3,500 damaged bridges and nearly 425,000 breaks and leaks to both local and interstate pipelines. Approximately 2.6 million households are without power after the earthquake. Nearly 86,000 injuries and fatalities result from damage to infrastructure. Nearly 130 hospitals are damaged and most are located in the impacted counties near the rupture zone. There is extensive damage and substantial travel delays in both Memphis, Tennessee, and St. Louis, Missouri, thus hampering search and rescue as well as evacuation. Moreover roughly 15 major bridges are unusable. Three days after the earthquake, 7.2 million people are still displaced and 2 million people seek temporary shelter. Direct economic losses for the eight states total nearly $300 billion, while indirect losses may be at least twice this amount.

They do mention loss of nuclear facilities…but only to do with the impact of losing the electrical power they generate, in a quick re-reading, I can’t find anything about radiation releases. Those facilities are built like iron fortresses, but I doubt they could withstand the 7.7 quake they are calling for in this simulation.

New Human Species Discovered

Scientists say an entirely separate type of human identified from bones in Siberia co-existed and interbred with our own species.

The ancient humans have been dubbed Denisovans after the caves in Siberia where their remains were found.

There is also evidence that this group was widespread in Eurasia.

A study in Nature journal shows that Denisovans co-existed with Neanderthals and interbred with our species – perhaps around 50,000 years ago.

An international group of researchers sequenced a complete genome from one of the ancient hominins (human-like creatures), based on nuclear DNA extracted from a finger bone.

‘Sensational’ find

According to the researchers, this provides confirmation there were at least four distinct types of human in existence when anatomically modern humans (Homo sapiens sapiens) first left their African homeland.

Along with modern humans, scientists knew about the Neanderthals and a dwarf human species found on the Indonesian island of Flores nicknamed The Hobbit. To this list, experts must now add the Denisovans.

The implications of the finding have been described by Professor Chris Stringer of the Natural History Museum in London as “nothing short of sensational”.

Scientists were able to analyse DNA from a tooth and from a finger bone excavated in the Denisova cave in southern Siberia. The individuals belonged to a genetically distinct group of humans that were distantly related to Neanderthals but even more distantly related to us.

The finding adds weight to the theory that a different kind of human could have existed in Eurasia at the same time as our species.

Researchers have had enigmatic fossil evidence to support this view but now they have some firm evidence from the genetic study carried out by Professor Svante Paabo of the Max Planck Institute in Leipzig, Germany.

“A species of early human living in Europe evolved,” according to Professor Paabo.

“There was a western form that was the Neanderthal and an eastern form, the Denisovans.”

The study shows that Denisovans interbred with the ancestors of the present day people of the Melanesian region north and north-east of Australia. Melanesian DNA comprises between 4% and 6% Denisovan DNA.

David Reich from the Harvard Medical School, who worked with Svante Paabo on the study, says that the fact that Denisovan genes ended up so far south suggests they were widespread across Eurasia: “These populations must have been spread across thousands and thousands of miles,” he told BBC News.

One mystery is why the Denisovan genes are unique in modern Melanesians and are not found in other Eurasian groups that have so far been sampled.

‘Fleeting encounter’

Professor Stringer believes it is because there may have been only a fleeting encounter as modern humans migrated through South-East Asia and then on to Melanesia.

The remains were excavated at a cave site in southern Siberia

“It could be just 50 Denisovans interbreeding with a thousand modern humans. That would be enough to produce this 5% of those archaic genes being transferred,” he said.

“So the impact is there but the number of interbreeding events might have been quite small and quite rare.”

No one knows when or how these humans disappeared but, according to Professor Paabo, it is very likely something to do with modern people because all the “archaic” humans, like Denisovans and Neanderthals disappeared sometime after Homo sapiens sapiens appeared on the scene.

“It is fascinating to see direct evidence that these archaic species did exist (alongside us) and it’s only for the last few tens of thousands of years that is unique in our history that we are alone on this planet and we have no close relatives with us anymore,” he said.

The study follows a paper published earlier this year by Professor Paabo and colleagues that showed there was interbreeding between modern humans and Neanderthals as they emerged from Africa 60,000 years ago.

(PhysOrg.com) — The ability to remember the past and imagine the future can significantly affect a person’s decisions in life. Scientists refer to the brain’s ability to think about the past, present, and future as “chronesthesia,” or mental time travel, although little is known about which parts of the brain are responsible for these conscious experiences. In a new study, researchers have used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to investigate the neural correlates of mental time travel and better understand the nature of the mental time in which the metaphorical “travel” occurs.

The researchers, Lars Nyberg from Umea University in Umea, Sweden; Reza Habib from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois; and Alice S. N. Kim, Brian Levine, and Endel Tulving from the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, have published their results in a recent issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

“Mental time travel consists of two independent sets of processes: (1) those that determine the contents of any act of such ‘travel’: what happens, who are the ‘actors,’ where does the action occur; it is similar to the contents of watching a movie – everything that you see on the screen; and (2) those that determine the subjective moment of time in which the action takes place – past, present, or future,” Tulving told PhysOrg.com.

“In cognitive neuroscience, we know quite a bit (relatively speaking) about perceived, remembered, known, and imagined space,” he said. “We know essentially nothing about perceived, remembered, known, and imagined time. When you remember something that you did last night, you are consciously aware not only that the event happened and that you were ‘there,’ as an observer or participant (‘episodic memory’), but also that it happened yesterday, that is, at a time that is no more. The question we are asking is, how do you know that it happened at a time other than ‘now’?”

In their study, the researchers asked several well-trained subjects to repeatedly think about taking a short walk in a familiar environment in either the imagined past, the real past, the present, or the imagined future. By keeping the content the same and changing only the mental time in which it occurs, the researchers could identify which areas of the brain are correlated with thinking about the same event at different times.

The results showed that certain regions in the left lateral parietal cortex, left frontal cortex, and cerebellum, as well as the thalamus, were activated differently when the subjects thought about the past and future compared with the present. Notably, brain activity was very similar for thinking about all of the non-present times (the imagined past, real past, and imagined future).

Because mental time is a product of the human brain and differs from the external time that is measured by clocks and calendars, scientists also call this time “subjective time.” Chronesthesia, by definition, is a form of consciousness that allows people to think about this subjective time and to mentally travel in it.

Some previous research has questioned whether the concept of subjective time is actually necessary for understanding similarities in brain activity during past and future thinking compared with thinking about the present. A few past studies have suggested that the brain’s ability for scene construction, and not subjective time, can account for the ability to think about past and future events. However, since scene construction was held constant in this study, the new results suggest that the brain’s ability to conceive of a subjective time is in fact necessary to explain how we think about the past and future.

“Until now, the processes that determine contents and the processes that determine time have not been separated in functional neuroimaging studies of chronesthesia; especially, there have been no studies in which brain regions involved in time alone, rather than time together with action, have been identified,” Tulving said. “The concept of ‘chronesthesia’ is essentially brand new. (You find a few entries on it in Google, but not on Web of Science.) Therefore, I would say, the most important result of our study is the novel finding that there seem to exist brain regions that are more active in the (imagined) past and the (imagined) future than they are in the (imagined) present. That is, we found some evidence for chronesthesia. Before we undertook this study it was entirely possible to imagine that we find nothing!”

He added that, at this stage of the game, it is too early to talk about potential implications or applications of understanding how the brain thinks about the past, present, and future.

“Our study, we hope, is the first swallow of the spring, and others will follow,” he said. “Our findings, as I alluded to above, are promising, but they have to be replicated, checked for validity and reliability, and, above all, extended to other conditions and situations, before we can start thinking about their implications and applications (of which it is easy to think of many).”
